Present Simple vs Present Continuous

**Present Simple** is used for habits, routines, and general facts. Example: *I work every day*. The verb stays in its base form (add -s for he/she/it). **Present Continuous** is for actions happening right now or around now. Example: *I am working right now*. Formed with **am/is/are + verb-ing**. ⚠️ **Key difference:** In Arabic, the present tense covers both habitual and ongoing actions. In English the distinction is explicit: simple for permanent facts, continuous for temporary situations.

- *I work at a hospital.* → This is my job (a permanent fact). - *I am working on a project this week.* → This is temporary (this week only).

💡 **Stative verbs** (know, want, like, need, believe) are not usually used in continuous form. Say *I know the answer*, not *I am knowing the answer*.
